PROFESSIONAL LEVEL PROGRAM

THE FEIA Falcons Girls Hockey Program completed it’s second full season in 2023-2024 as a member of the US based National Girls Hockey League. The league currently has 42 teams spread right across the US from the west coast to the east coast and all points in between. The Falcons qualified for the NGHL’s National Championship, hosted by Lovell Academy in Rockland, Mass, from February 2 – 4, finishing 4th in standings out of the 12 teams that qualified and missing the semi-final by virtue of a tie-breaker rule. The Falcons ended the round robin 4 and 1, their only loss to the eventual National Champions, Lovell Academy 19U T1. The Falcons were the second highest scoring team at the event. They ended Nationals ranked 2nd in a three-way tie. An amazing accomplishment for a second year program. The Falcons are a fully sanctioned Hockey Canada Sports School registered through and also sanctioned by the Ontario Womens Hockey League.

This seasons schedule featured 8 showcases split between the US and Canada. Those 8 showcases plus exhibition added up 45 games. We have a similar schedule of showcases set for 2024-2025, split evenly between the US and Canada.

The Falcons will continue visiting several U-Sport and NCAA programs when time permits. The goal is for student-athletes to gain exposure to the differences between post-secondary leagues and programs and understand the level of hockey and commitment required to play university hockey in Canada and the U.S.

The Falcons are scheduled to practice four times a week, attend hockey lab (video/strategy/motivation/philosophy) once a week and take part in strength and conditioning each weekday. FEIA has a full team of full-time Athletic Therapists, access to two team Doctors, a full-time School Wellness Coach (Psychologist) and an on-site Nurse Practitioner.

Team building is an integral part of Falcons Hockey. The girls paricipate in various activities over the season to build friendships and teamwork and, most importantly, to have fun.

In our first two seasons, Falcons Varsity Girls Hockey has helped to find all of our seniors university homes. Included are U-Sport Programs, University of New Brunswick and St. Thomas University. NCAA Programs at Morrisville State, Keene State and Lebanon Valley, and ACHA D1 Programs, Indiana Tech and Davenport University.
