As we arrive at the first long weekend of the school year, I find myself reflecting on all that we as a FEIA Family have to be thankful for.

Having worked in schools for more than a few decades, it always surprises me how quickly our students come to bond with each other each school year. We are blessed to have a wonderful group of young adults join FEIA this year and I couldn't be prouder of the friendships I see continuing to blossom across all grade levels. To our students, thank you for living and breathing the positive and inclusive values of FEIA each and every day.

They say it takes a village to raise a family. The staff at FEIA prove day in and day out that we really are a Family here at the FEIA Campus. With so many new staff members joining us here in the last few months it has been so wonderful to see them going over an above to providing support and guidance to each other. Further to this, the interaction, attention and care they show our student body is inspiring, as I can already see the positive impact they are making. To our teachers, thank you for everything you do, day in and day out.

Finally, the parents and the community here in Fort Erie have and continue to be so supportive of each initiative we introduce, each change we make for the greater good and the patience and understanding they have shown as we navigate though the ever changing protocols we need to adopt as a result of COVID-19. Thank you! Without you all, we would not succeed in helping to nurture and grow these students into the next generation of innovators and leaders.

May the good things of life be yours in abundance not only at Thanksgiving but throughout the coming year.

Both our U16 and U18 Teams are headed to Burlington today to take on the Blyth Academy Bruins at The Wave Twin Rinks.  We're all crossing our fingers and toes and wishing the Falcons all the best in their inaugural games.

Please note SPECTATORS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE ARENAS, nor are we able to take any photos or video. Our coaches will do their best to capture some pre and post game images.

We've also been informed that the rink we are playing at is connected to and will showcase our games this afternoon.

You’ll need to download the app and, at minimum pay a $17.99 monthly fee in advance, to be able to access the games

As we mentioned last week, we implemented a new timetable for our High School students this past Monday.

Instead of students focussing on 4 courses this semester, we've actually split the semester in half to allow for a lighter course load. Students are adjusting well and seem much more comfortable with the new approach.

The new timetable appears below and will be available on the Parent's section of our website later today.

While our original plan was to raise funds and complete a 1k walk in support of the Terry Fox Foundation last week, the weather did not cooperate with us.

Instead, this passed Tuesday, students were able to enjoy a sunny, but windy walk/run taking in the beautiful fall colours surrounding the FEIA Campus.

Thanks to our FEIA Family, we collected almost $100 to donate to the cause.
