Good Evening Parents, Principal Liu, the 271 Education Group Team and the FEIA Team.
It is always a pleasure to have a chance to speak with you and to share our story as we progress in
setting strong foundations at Fort Erie International Academy.
This is an important meeting for all of us. We are eager to assist you in making decisions on our
partnership in education for your children. I want to say that our first year was successful up until COVID19 hit the world. We started this new Academy with the challenge of opening our new school within 3 months, almost an impossible task and yet we did it!
In the process we learned a lot through the many suggestions and feedback given to us from our parents, students’ and staff. As the summer holidays come to an end, we are all very excited to have students back in the classrooms and hallways, filling them with energy and enthusiasm for learning in Fort Erie, Ontario.
And we are very grateful to Hansen School for providing FEIA with 3 classrooms to provide the online
virtual learning program for your children to continue learning our excellent Ontario Curriculum, thus
providing a student-centered learning and teaching environment for students to grow into successful
individuals and earn their OSSD diploma.
It is our mission to assist every student to feel welcomed, connected, and part of our FEIA family whether
here in Fort Erie or in Weifang City, Shandong Province, China!
I further strive to challenge each student to grow in his or her academic, social, and physical abilities to
ultimately, be post-secondary school ready by the end of grade 12 as they journey into their choice
University to further develop their career destination.
At FEIA, we have highly qualified teachers who have spent hours upon hours planning and creating
activities to engage students in their learning both in-class and online.
Our teachers utilize research based best practices and analyze academic data to determine current skill
levels and to set goals for growth and improvement. We believe that all students should graduate from
high school prepared for the demands of post-secondary education, meaningful careers, and effective
Throughout the year, we will be posting all relevant information on our school’s website to keep our
families informed. This will include updates such as the progress on our newly built student dorms, our
renovated high school, special events and celebrations, student awards, special student excursions, the
university application process, the COVID 19 updates, results of our Ministry of Education Inspection,
