FEIA was immensely proud to host its inaugural graduation ceremony on the evening of June 24th, surrounded by students, family, friends and staff.
President Paul Liu kicked of the evening sharing updates on the bright future of the FEIA Campus and well wishes for our graduating class. Head Principal Connie Stella then presented an emotional message of hope, perseverance and FEIA pride.
Our class Valedictorian Allaura shared gratitude for the opportunities FEIA has provided her and her class, along with some wise words about maintaining positivity through any challenge.
We shared a video yearbook, highlighting our graduating class. (Click the link below to view the yearbook, along with spotlight videos on each of our Grads.)
We closed the ceremony with our Grade 8 teachers ‘virtually’ presenting each student with their Grade 8 diplomas, along with individual messages highlighting the students' accomplishments and wishes for their bright futures.
Following the ceremony, Head Principal Stella made a visit to each students home with a special delivery of flowers, balloons and delicious custom FEIA Graduation cookies.
While it was not the convocation we had hoped for, in light of Covid-19, our LIVE virtual ceremony was a welcomed surprise for the whole FEIA Family.
Principal's End of Year Message
Good Day FEIA Family,
It was a great pleasure to have your children at our school this year and I personally thank all the students, parents, guardians and our hard-working, committed staff who have made the first year at FEIA such a rewarding adventure for everyone
While the second half of the year was not at all what any of us expected, we appreciate the support received as we launched an online learning platform to allow our students to complete the school year.
We have received guidance from the Ministry of Education on what may happen in the fall. I am working on developing both an in-class plan and a secondary plan if COVID-19 restrictions are once again tightened. I will share this with you as soon as I can.
As the school year is now officially complete, all the laughs, studying, learning, playing and friendships formed have enriched all of our lives over the last 10 months. I now return to you, the same children that you entrusted to our care last fall; now a few pounds lighter or heavier, a few inches taller, a few months wiser, more responsible, and more mature. Even though they would have grown without FEIA, it has been a pleasure and a privilege to see their personalities grow day by day, and to see how they have developed in their learning, their independence and their confidence.
A special thank you to you the parents/guardians and families for the continued support to FEIA throughout the school year
Remember that I will always have a great interest in your children and their destinies, wherever they may go, whatever they do and whoever they become. We will send out updates during the summer to keep you informed as to our school preplanning of back to school. You can also visit the News page on our website, as well as our Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter pages to stay informed throughout the summer holiday.
In closing, I’d like to wish all of our students, and their families, a fun and safe summer. We all look forward to seeing you again in September.
