FEIA is pleased to announce the construction of a series of three new 8 unit student residences on campus. These townhomes are to be erected on the southeast corner of the FEIA campus; across the street from the old FESS building at the end of Tate Avenue.
Having received our conditional/foundation permit this past Monday, May 25th, we have now begun excavation/construction on our Phase 1 student residences and we commemorate this exciting event for posterity and to share information about it with the residents and stakeholders of the town of Fort Erie and the Niagara region on Monday June 1st, along with Fort Erie Mayor Wayne Redekop, local Councillor George McDermott, Fort Erie CAO, Tom Kuchyt and Director of FEIA, Paul Liu.
This brand new residence will house 24 individual dormitories, and construction of Block A is on track to be completed in time for the 2020/2021 school year (Block B by October 1st, 2020). The residence will modernize the campus, bringing students currently residing in homes along the Niagara Parkway and at the top of Emmerick St. onto the campus full time.
