BEYOND THE CLASSROOM
A well-rounded experience for a well-rounded life
Life at FEIA extends beyond the classroom. We offer a wide variety of after-school activities including golf, traditional Chinese painting, martial arts, swimming and music lessons including travelling concert band and private lessons. FEIA also incorporates the STEM methodology into our extra curriculum to extend learning in math, science and technology with programs like First Lego League; an interactive science and robotics program.
FEIA’s Enrichment programming offers a number of Athletic programs; a sample of which we’ve detailed for you here:
RECREATIONAL SPORTS

SWIMMING
Our students learn water safety and the basics of swimming in group classes. They are continually challenged during these lessons with our multi-level teaching concept which allows instructors to teach participants with various skill levels within the same group.

GOLF
FEIA students have unprecedented access to Bridgewater Country Club in Niagara. Students learn the fundamentals of golf as well as the fundamentals of leadership, sportsmanship and etiquette. Through our golf education program, our students are challenged and learn the importance of perseverance.

MUSIC
In cooperation with the Fort Erie School of Music, we are currently offering our students:

SCHOOL CONCERT BAND
FEIA’s Concert Band is a student highlight. Our concert band is made up of many different instruments that include a variety of brass, woodwind and percussion instruments. Our band students have the opportunity to play at various community and school functions expanding their repertoire and confidence.

PRIVATE MUSIC STUDY
The Private Study programme allows students to progress at their own pace. Their success is measured based on their understanding and application of music theory and what they have learned during their sessions. Offerings include: Piano/Keyboard, Bass, Drums/Percussion, Guitar, Voice, Theory

PRIVATE MASTER CLASS
FEIA’s Master Classes are designed for students who have had considerable experience with a particular instrument and are looking to further their understanding and skill in focused, private or semi-private classes. These courses are open to both singular students and those who wish to collaborate with other musicians.
STEM

FIRST LEGO LEAGUE
FIRST LEGO League is the most accessible, guided, global robotics competition, helping students and teachers to build a better future together. The program is built around theme-based challenges to engage children from ages 9 to 16 in research, problem-solving, coding, and engineering. The foundation of the program is the FIRST Core Values, which emphasize teamwork, discovery, and innovation. Students emerge more confident, excited, and equipped with the skills they need in a changing workforce.
STUDENT LOUNGE
FEIA’s new student lounge is a place for students to relax and have fun. This space includes ping pong tables, a foosball table, a vending machine, TVs, video game consoles, board games, and more.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
VOLUNTEERISM AND COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Volunteerism is a key component of the structure of FEIA. This emphasis on volunteering helps our students create connections with the community and to the causes about which they are passionate. When we look to the future for our students, we envision them as global citizens who are altruistic and look to make a difference in the lives of others.
In partnership with the Fort Erie Chamber of Commerce, FEIA students have the opportunity to volunteer at local businesses and not-for-profits including:
Many classes beyond the classroom are not running due to COVID-19.
